  • Author: The Coozy Plate

Description

Make crispy, cheesy, and creamy Chicken Alfredo Calzones in your air fryer in under 30 minutes. Filled with mozzarella, Parmesan, Alfredo sauce, and smoky chicken ham and turkey bacon, these calzones deliver comforting Italian flavors with less effort and mess. Perfect for busy weeknights, they’re family-friendly, customizable, and irresistibly good.

Ingredients

Scale

For the filling:

  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • ½ cup chicken ham, chopped
  • ¼ cup turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & pepper to taste

For the dough:

  • 1 can (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, chopped chicken ham, turkey bacon, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and cut into 4 equal rectangles or circles (depending on your shape preference).
  • Spoon the filling mixture onto one half of each dough piece, leaving a ½-inch border.
  • Fold over the dough and press the edges with a fork to seal. Use a knife to cut 1–2 small slits on top for air to escape.
  • Brush each calzone with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  • Place calzones in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  • Air fry for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Flip halfway through for even cooking.
  • Let cool slightly before serving. Serve with extra Alfredo sauce for dipping if desired.

Notes

  • Use leftover or rotisserie chicken for speed and convenience.

  • For a crispier crust, avoid overloading the calzones with sauce.

  • Seal edges tightly and score tops for steam to escape during cooking.

  • Try adding spinach or mushrooms for extra veggies and flavor.

  • Reheat leftovers in the air fryer to restore crispiness.
