  • Author: Elina

Description

Peanut Butter Passion Bars are rich, chewy dessert bars packed with creamy peanut butter, brown sugar, and chocolate chips. With optional add-ins like oats, coconut, or caramel, they offer a customizable, crowd-pleasing treat perfect for parties, potlucks, and snack cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 1/4 cups mini chocolate chips, divided

  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts (optional)

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease or line an 8×8 or 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

  • In a medium bowl, mix melted butter and graham cracker crumbs until evenly combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form the crust.

  • In another bowl, mix together the peanut butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  • Spread the peanut butter mixture evenly over the crust.

  • Sprinkle 1 cup of mini chocolate chips and chopped peanuts (if using) over the top of the peanut butter layer.

  • Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over everything.

  • Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips on top.

  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is set.

  • Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before slicing. For cleaner cuts, refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge.

Notes

  • Use room-temperature ingredients for easier mixing

  • For extra chewiness, include rolled oats or shredded coconut

  • Don’t overbake—these bars are best when slightly underdone in the center

  • Add ganache or caramel topping for an extra layer of decadence

  • Pair with cheesy biscuit appetizers, pull-apart bread, or holiday snacks from holiday appetizer ideas for a well-rounded table spread
