How to Make Crispy Cottage Cheese Chips for a High-Protein Snack

  • Author: The Coozy Plate

Description

These cottage cheese chips are a crunchy, low-carb snack made from blended cottage cheese and simple seasonings. Oven-baked until golden and crisp, they’re perfect for high-protein snacking and easy to customize with savory or spicy flavors.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup cottage cheese (preferably small curd, full-fat for best texture)

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp onion powder

¼ tsp black pepper

¼ tsp salt

Optional: 1 tbsp nutritional yeast or grated parmesan for extra flavor

Optional toppings: everything bagel seasoning, paprika, chili flakes

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

Place cottage cheese in a blender or food processor. Blend until completely smooth and creamy.
Transfer the mixture to a bowl. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and any optional seasonings.

Spoon small dollops (about 1 tablespoon each) of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each. Flatten slightly with the back of a spoon.

Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the chips are golden brown and the edges are crispy. They will firm up more as they cool.

Let cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before removing. Serve as a snack or with your favorite dips.

Notes

  • Use full-fat, small-curd cottage cheese and blend until smooth.

  • Bake at 375°F for golden, crisp results.

  • Customize with seasonings like everything bagel spice or paprika.

  • Cool completely for best texture—chips firm up as they rest.

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature or re-crisp in the oven.

  • Great with dips or eaten solo for a clean, protein-rich bite.
