Description

These brown sugar glazed carrots are the ultimate side dish—sweet, buttery, and perfectly tender. Made with just a few pantry staples, they come together in under 30 minutes and are equally suited for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or your next weeknight dinner. Boiled or roasted, they’re easy, family-friendly, and endlessly customizable.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb baby carrots
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the baby carrots and cook for 6-8 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.

In the same pot or a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

Stir in the brown sugar, salt, and pepper until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is bubbling.

Add the cooked carrots back to the pan and toss to coat evenly in the glaze.

Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the carrots are glossy and heated through.

Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
