Ingredients
- 8 slices white or sourdough bread
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 4 slices cheddar cheese (about 100 g)
- 4 slices Swiss or mozzarella cheese (about 100 g)

- 4 slices cooked turkey bacon, halved
- 4 slices chicken ham, halved
- 4 slices ripe tomato
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 190 °C (375 °F) for 3 minutes.
- Spread butter evenly on one side of each bread slice.
- On the unbuttered side of 4 slices, layer one cheddar and one Swiss (or mozzarella) slice. Add any optional fillings. Top with remaining bread slices, buttered side out.
- Place the assembled sandwiches in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 4 minutes.
- Flip each sandwich carefully, then cook for an additional 3–4 minutes, until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 1 minute. Slice in half and serve immediately.
